Summer High Online Academy is a Eugene School District 4J sponsored program designed to help high school students complete their graduation requirements.

Who is Eligible?

Any high school student needing to recover credit for a course previously attempted.
Must be a current student of Churchill, North Eugene, Sheldon, or South Eugene High School.
Must receive a referral from a high school counselor.

Calendar 2013

Orientations: Thursday, June 20 at Churchill (10:00 AM) and North (1:00 PM)
Classes Begin:
  Week of July 29
Classes End:  Week of August 19
Students will have four weeks to complete course work.

Referral & Registration

Registration is NOW open through May 31.
Please see your high school counselor for a referral.
Refundable course fees must be paid in full to guarantee spot in the program. Fees due on or before orientation day and can be paid at your school's Finance Office.

Computer Lab Locations

Instructor will determine amount of lab time required for each student, based on need. Labs open to all summer high students during hours of operation for additional support and assignment completion.
North Eugene High School
(Tuesdays, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00, closed 12:00-1:00 for lunch
High School (Thursdays, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00, closed 12:00-1:00 for lunch)

 Course Subjects

Four core areas available (math, language arts, social studies, science).
Classes are credit recovery.

Homework Assistance

Instructor available to meet with students during lab times


0.5 credit earned per course
Maximum of 1.0 credit possible (or two courses) upon approval of both counselor and summer high instructor.
*Credits posted to high school transcript


$50 per course registration fee / $25 per course fee for students on Free & Reduced Lunch Program
* Registration fee is refundable upon successful completion of the course (grade "C" or higher) by August 23.

* Fees due by June 22
and can be paid in school Finance Office or at orientation.
*Make checks payable to 4J Summer School.
